Whether you're considering a new piece of furiture to fill that one special place in your home, or wondering how to best work that "old hand me down" into your changing needs, the place to go for help is The Furniture Restorer.
Kerry Dugger has 33 years of experience in restoring antiques, refinishing furniture and creating new pieces. Kerry begain working with wood as a young man, learned some important basics in high school shop, and finally studied under a master craftsman. He was able to work with The Vasek Company of Dallas, an eleven generation family of master craftsmen.
The Furniture Restorer specializes in antique restoration and reproduction. The materials, such as laquer based finishes, and our techniques for hand stripping as opposed to dipping or the use of vats allows us to maintain and preserve the fine woods we are given to work with. Our appreciation for woods is expressed in our work with older pieces.
We do Architectural Digest quality work. We duplicate one of a kind pieces or broken/missing pieces of your antiques. If that old chair in the attic is missing a leg or arm, we can reproduce it. The Furniture Restorer can take a piece of furniture that has lost its' use and repurpose it to a more modern and useful piece to suit your needs. We also hand craft pieces to your taste.
With a lot of hard work and time, we have created an atmosphere for perfecting the craft of furniture making and antique restoration. Let us know how we can help you!
